William (Mr. Bill) Walden Sr., age 74, passed away on September 12th while at home with family by his side. He was born on March 30th, 1948, in Decatur, IL to Charles and Genevieve Walden. Bell has been home to William for the past 30 years. Mr. Bill was known for his love for trucks. In addition to driving trucks for a living he owned his own business selling vehicles and working on vehicles as well. That love carried over into dirt track racing. He loved to go boating on the river and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his son, William Charles Walden Jr., and his father, Charles E. Walden.
Mr. Bill is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Walden, his daughters Teresa Yeager of Bell, Dixie Crystal Williams of Wimauma, brother Charles Walden Jr. of Riverview, sisters Mary McHan of Wimauma, Marilyn Stewart of Riverview, Betty Smith of Riverview, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A service to honor Mr. Bill’s life will be held on Friday, September 16th at the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Bell, FL. A visitation will be held at 10am and the service will begin immediately following at 11am. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton, Trenton. 352-463-8888. www.WatsonMilton.com
