William Patrick Sellers

August 9, 1936 — February 6, 2025

William “Pat” Sellers, age 88, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on February 6, 2025, in Chiefland, Florida. Born on August 9, 1936, in Selma, Alabama.

A dedicated band director, Pat had the ability to inspire and teach young musicians. He spent over 15 years shaping his students to love the art of music. Under his guidance, numerous bands had the privilege of performing at incredible events, including Disney World and even a Miami Dolphin game.

Pat's generosity and caring spirit extended beyond the classroom; he was a family man who loved and adored his wife, Peggy Sellers. Together, they created a warm and loving home, deeply rooted in faith and shared values. His commitment to his family was matched only by his devotion to The Lord, often seen reading his Bible. Pat also found great joy in travel. Especially the calming shores of a good beach and the breathtaking views of the Western North Carolina Mountains.

Pat is survived by his wife, Peggy Sellers; his children, Patrick Sellers (Trinette) and Suzanne Mathe (Liam); his grandchildren, Ryan Sellers, Arianna Sellers, Christopher Flowers, and Kara Comstock (Robert); and his great-grandchildren, Damian Flowers, Kevin Flowers, Anna Flowers, Riley Comstock, and Kai Comstock.

Pat is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Johnnie Sellers.

Pat will be remembered fondly, not only for his achievements and passionate spirit but also for the way he touched the lives of others. He went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and music that will live on through the hearts of his family.
