Timothy Daniel Mathis

Timothy Daniel Mathis, age 41, passed away November 8, 2022, in Gilchrist County. Timothy was born on October 20, 1981, to Virginia Mathis. He is a lifetime resident of Gilchrist County and called Bell his home. Timothy loved to be out on the water in his boat. He also loved his motorcycle, to tinker and work on things, and absolutely loved his sweets (especially gummy worms). Timothy was loved by many and will be missed in the days ahead.

Timothy is preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas S. Mathis Sr.

He is survived by his children, Brittany (Nehemiah) Harmon, Katlyn and Elijah Mathis; his mother, Virginia (Chris) Thompkins; his brothers, Jayson and James Fisher; a sister, Shuree Perryman; grandchildren, Ester, Miah, Hannah and Ezra Harmon; and his grandmother Emily Mathis Sessions.

A graveside service to honor Timothy’s life will be Friday, November 11, 2022, at Priscilla Baptist Church at 2:30, with Pastor Chuck Scott officiating the service. A visitation will begin at 2:00.
