Susan Douglas

September 8, 1959 — February 2, 2025

Trenton

Susan Douglas, born on September 8, 1959, in Athens, Georgia, met Jesus face to face on February 2, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and service that touched many lives.

Susan is survived by her two sons, Jared (Kelly) Douglas and Jacob (Morgan) Douglas all of Trenton. Her grandchildren; Grayson, Eliza, Emery, and Walker Douglas will deeply miss their SuSu. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Jean Moody of Leesburg, and her sisters, Angela (Mark) Lackey of Leesburg and Kay Moody of Ormond Beach.

Susan was a graduate of Leesburg High School, class of 1977, and furthered her education at the University of Florida, graduating in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her professional journey as a Registered Nurse spanned an impressive 43 years. Susan considered nursing to be her mission field and was committed to the health and well-being of her patients.

Susan served beside her late husband in ministry for over 40 years. In addition to being an active member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Susan found great joy in her faith, serving as a Sunday School teacher and leading Bible studies. Her gentle spirit, genuine kindness, and love for Jesus was evident in the lives she encountered.

Susan enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, satisfying her sweet tooth, reading, naps, and puzzles. She most often looked forward to girls’ trips with her mom and sisters. Her passions reflected her thoughtful personality and simple way of life.

Susan is predeceased in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Greg Douglas, and her father, William Cecil Moody Jr.

Susan will be laid to rest, privately, next to Greg, at New River Cemetery in Brooker, FL. In continuation of her last wishes, there will be no memorial service. If you wish to honor her, please spend time with your family and make precious memories.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton. 352-463-8888 www.WatsonMilton.com
