Susan Elizabeth Bashian

Susan Elizabeth Kahler Bashian, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of Bell FL, formerly of York, PA passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 77, after a brave and short battle with leukemia. Born on May 25, 1947, Susan lived a life surrounded by a family that loved her unconditionally. 

Susan was a school bus driver and retired as Director of Transportation at York County School of Technology. In the 1980s, she was also active in the Girl Scouts, dedicating her time and skills as a leader and trainer, encouraging young girls to develop confidence and leadership skills.

Beyond her professional life, Susan's heart truly belonged to her family. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. She had many hobbies that brought her happiness, but nothing compared to the love she felt when surrounded by her family. Susan also attended Bell Baptist Church in Bell, Florida.

Susan is survived by her husband of 62 years, Michael J. Bashian, Sr. of Bell Florida; two daughters, Michelle Bashian Wier of Lexington, SC and Jennifer Bashian Vaughn of Bell, Florida; a son, Michael J. Bashian Jr. of York PA; 8 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. 

Susan is preceded in death by her granddaughter Alexis DuBose-Herlong. 

A small memorial service will be held at her home at a later date. Watson-Milton Funeral Home is honored to assist Susan's family during this time.
