Elder Sammy P. Harris, Sr., age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 8, 2025, after an extended illness. Born April 10, 1944, to the late John and Geneva Harris, Sammy grew up in Bell, FL and dedicated his life to serving the Lord.
As an Elder in the Primitive Baptist Church, Sammy served several congregations including Crawford Lake in Live Oak and Little Springs in Worthington Springs and was a member of Oak Grove in Macclenny. His dedication to the Lord was shown throughout every aspect of his life.
Sammy is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Ceresia Raybon; his wife Faye Harris; his brother Carl Harris; and sister Vera Renfore.
Sammy is survived by his wife of almost 16 years Karron Harris of Starke; grandchildren, Samantha Harris, Jacob Raybon, and Dollie Raybon; his sister Irene Lindsey of Old Town; and a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of Sammy’s life will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Watson-Milton Funeral Home in Trenton, FL. The visitation will begin at 12:00pm followed by the funeral service at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Wayfair Cemetery in Bell, FL.
