Robert "Bobby" Wallace Holder

Robert "Bobby" Wallace Holder, a beloved member of the Newberry, Florida community, passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on August 28, 1950, Bobby dedicated his life to working on the family farm business, embodying the values of hard work and commitment instilled in him from an early age. Bobby was known for his loving and caring nature; he was a hardworking and gentle man who touched the lives of all who knew him. He found great joy in spending time outdoors, particularly in his garden where he embraced his role as the family gardener. His passion for the outdoors was a defining aspect of his personality, and it brought him immense happiness throughout his life. Described as a simple man, Bobby enjoyed anything western, especially anything to do with John Wayne. In addition to his dedication to farming, Bobby proudly served in the Army, demonstrating his commitment to his country. His military service was yet another reflection of his responsible and caring spirit. Most of all, he was a beloved grandfather that adored his grandchildren. 

Bobby was surrounded by a loving family who will cherish his memory. He is survived by his Son Travis (Amanda) Holder, his daughter Amy Holder, his brothers and sisters, Nona (Gene) Brown, Elaine (Tom) McEntee, Marian (Dennis) Wherrell, Danny (Suzy) Holder, Kenny Holder, Harold (Kay) Holder. Bobby was a dedicated and loving grandfather to Alyssa, Emma, Robert, Angel, and Travis. Bobby leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other Loving family members.

Bobby is preceded in death by his wife Kathy, and his parents Dennis SR and Vera and his siblings Dennis Jr, James, Janet, and Joey. 

A funeral service to honor Bobby will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton at 1:00 PM. Family will receive friends for a visitation one hour prior to the service at 12. Bobby will be laid to rest following the service at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Newberry.
