Richard Daniel Edwards

Richard "Dick" Daniel Edwards, Sr., 83 years of age, of Bell, FL, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 23, 2017. His passing was sudden but peaceful. He was born on January 11, 1934 to Nolan and Izora Edwards in Montgomery, AL and had been a resident of Bell since moving from Palm Harbor, FL 41 years ago. He was a Master Carpenter and built and remodeled many homes and businesses in the area, including Watson Funeral Home, along with his sons, through R. Edwards Construction. When Richard was younger he proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force where he was an Air Force Mechanic. He was a very kind and giving person who would do anything for anyone. When he wasn't working, he liked to fish, make things in his shop and spend time with his family. Richard was a very special person who will never be replaced and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is greatly loved by his entire family. Richard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Kathleen; his daughters, Sandy (Jr.) Reed and Cheryl Jacobs; his sons, Rick Edwards, Jr., James (Robin) Edwards and Tom (Jeni) Edwards. His is also survived by his grandchildren, Vicki, Tyler, Christopher, Whitney, Ashley and Brittany and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Edwards will be held on Thursday morning, September 28, 2017 at 11:00 in the chapel at Watson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Bell Cemetery, Bell, FL.
