Reatha Armdell Parrish

Mrs. Reatha Armdell Parrish , age 82, of High Springs, FL , passed away peacefully on February 26, 2022, at home. She was born on January 4 , 1940, in Alachua, to Jesse Langford and Laura Ellen Langford. She was a lifelong resident of Gilchrist County. Mrs. Parrish was a loving and talented caregiver who enjoyed gardening, cooking, and anything outdoors, but most importantly, she loved helping people. For over 10 years, she opened her doors to families and took care of their loved ones. Mrs. Parrish was recognized as a volunteer for the Lost Children’s Association and for her exceptional service as a bank teller. She was preceded in death by her parents and a step-brother, Counsel Douglas Jr.

Mrs. Parrish is survived by a daughter, Vickie Harwell; three grandchildren, Sharley Doke, Keary Nevin Doke, Jr. and Skyler Harwell; step- brothers, Sam Douglas, Dewitt Douglas; a great niece, Alice Spring Stephens and family; a host of extended family also survive as well as her beloved Pekingese.
