Nancy Louise (Simes) Czarniak, age 80, of Trenton, FL, passed away on January 27, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 21, 1942, in Dayton, OH, to Thomas and Louise (Schulz) Simes. Nancy grew up in Ohio then her family relocated to Miami when she was 14. They finally settled in Hollywood, and she graduated from MacArthur High School. It’s at this school that she met the love of her life, Norman Richard Czarniak, Jr. On August 7, 1960, the two ran off to Georgia to get married because Norman was only 17 at the time. In 1972, they moved to Trenton, and this would be where they called home. She was a talented seamstress who loved knitting and crocheting. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, bird watching and was known for her green thumb. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Czarniak is survived by her loving husband of almost 63 years, Norman Richard Czarniak, Jr of Trenton; her three children, Richard Czarniak of Trenton, Christine (Dale) Bivens of Trenton, and Norman (Kristy) Czarniak of Plant City; grandchildren, Eric, Ben, Melissa, Kathryn, Keri, and Jacob; great grandchildren, Jameson, Braylen, Luke, Drew, and Autumn; siblings, John Simes of Old Town and Cathy (Robbie) Goode of Trenton; special nephew, Mike (Debbie) Wood of Ocala; numerous extended family also survive.
A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on Friday, February 3, at 2:00 pm at Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
