Mary Teresa MacDougall, age 60, of Bell, Florida, passed away on October 1, 2021 at the North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, FL. Teresa was born on July 2, 1961, in Big Rapids, MI, to Frank Ryman and Mary Hamelund. She grew up in Michigan and after high school, Teresa enlisted in the United States Air Force where she would serve for 4 years. After her service, she served another 6 years in the National Guard. Teresa lived in Portland for a number of years before moving to Florida to be with family. Teresa was always looking to help others and had a deep passion for Veterans and law enforcement personal. She never met a stranger and could always brighten your day. She was a wonderful mother and great friend. Teresa was very creative and loved painting ceramics, stain glass, beading, and jewelry. She also loved being outdoors and working in her garden. She was an avid reader, a competitive bowler, and an amazing cook. Simply put, Teresa was a colorful person and lived life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Teresa is survived by her children, Zachary (Kiaralys) Hassinger of Alachua, FL, and Lexi (Cameron) Hassinger of Oklahoma City, OK and their father, Chris Hassinger of Portland; her longtime friend, Terri Koss of Bell, FL; siblings, Elissa Beth Ryman of Trenton, FL and Jim (Linda) MacDougall of Detriot, MI; a host of extended family also survive.
