After graduation, she married the love of her life, Argie Edward Douglas on February 3, 1946. They made their home in Trenton, Fl where they raised their four children. They were married 48 years. Mrs. Elizabeth retired from the Gilchrist County Clerks office after over 30 years of dedicated service, retiring as a deputy clerk. Known to her family as Granny, she will especially be remembered for her love of Jesus, her kind and gentle spirit and her love of cooking, particularly her lemon meringue pies.
