Martha Ann Osteen

Ms. Martha Ann O’Steen, age 66, of High Springs, Florida passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, at the Magnolia Ridge Rehab Center in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on July 22, 1958, in Live Oak, Florida to J.B. O’Steen Jr, and Mary (Roberts) O’Steen. The family moved to Gilchrist County in 1965 and Martha Ann graduated from Bell High School in 1976 then attended Lake City Community College. She went to work for the University of Florida where she worked in the medical field for 15 years. Martha Ann then went to work in Jacksonville for Baptist Hospital before coming back and finishing her career at the VA in Gainesville, Florida in the Children’s Medical Services department. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and embroidery. She was kind, caring and loving to all she knew. She loved her nieces and nephews unconditionally as they were her own. Her family meant the world to her and she will be deeply missed. She was a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Martha Ann is survived by her siblings, J.B. (Carla) O’Steen III, Nina Fay (Carl) Salmi, and Lucy O’Steen all of High Springs, Florida; her nieces and nephews, J.B. (Joy) O’Steen IV, Eric Austin O’Steen, and Stephanie Dawn Holt all of High Springs, Florida and Kelly (Nicholas) Brannan Owens of Alachua, Florida; her great niece, Callie Owens; and great nephew, Corbin O’Steen.
