Martha D Lord

Martha Lord, age 99, passed away on August 27^th at A Grace Hospice Center in Wisconsin.  She was born on October 14, 1922, in Hopewell, VA to Byron & Myrtle Dollar.  Having spent the early part of her life in VA, Martha  raised her family in Davie, FL  before moving to the Jasper area where she lived and worked.  She and her husband,  Randle, moved back to Gilchrist County 25 years ago.  She enjoyed traveling and working summer jobs at various national parks around the country which enabled them to venture out even more and visit a lot of places. Martha enjoyed anything crafts as a hobby.  She spent the last few years in Wisconsin with her daughter who provided great care of her needs. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Randle Lord, her parents, Byron and Myrtle Dollar, her son, Joe Lord, and siblings Margret, Sylvia, Jackie, and Helen.

Martha is survived by her children, Ralph Lord (White Springs), Katherine Lord (Wisconsin), 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Martha will be held on Wednesday, September 7^th at 10am at Priscilla Baptist Church.  A service to honor her life will be held immediately following the visitation at 11am.  She will be laid to rest at the Bethel Baptist Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton, FL. 352-463-8888. www.WatsonMilton.com
