Maria Hernandez-Ochoa

Mrs. Maria Hernandez-Ochoa, age 54, of Bell, Florida, passed away on January 17, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 25, 1967, in Guanajuato, Mexico. In the 1980’s Maria moved to south Florida then eventually settled in Bell. She worked as the Heath Coordinator for the Gilchrist County Health Department. Maria loved learning and furthering her education, cooking (chocolates were her favorite), knitting, and her faith. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church (now Redemption Church). She was preceded in death by her father, Isidro Hernandez.

Maria is survived by her husband, Javier Hernandez, Sr; her son, Javier Hernandez, Jr; daughter, Elizabeth Ann; her mother, Graciela Ochoa; brothers, Roberto and Jose Hernandez; sisters, Sonia Stuy, Patricia Tovar, Graciela Resendiz, Angelica Hernandez, and Carolina Garcia; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
A funeral to honor Maria’s life will be held on Friday, January 21, at 2:00 pm at Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
