Lawrence Emmit Allen

Mr. Lawrence Emmit Allen, age 76, of Chiefland, FL, passed away on July 30, 2021, at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville. He was born on March 6, 1946, in Gulf Hammock to Leasman and Claire Thomas Allen. Mr. Allen graduated high school in 1966 then went to work with the Central Florida Electric Company. He loved hunting and watching his Florida Gators. He was a member of Hardeetown Baptist Church. Mr. Allen is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Tony Allen.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Dorothy Thelma Allen of Chiefland; his daughter, Lauree Allen (David Burgess) of Chiefland; grandson, Tony Caden; numerous extended family also survive.
A graveside service to honor Mr. Allen will be held on Friday, September 17, at 10:00 am at Shady Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home. 352-463-8888. www.WatsonMilton.com
