June Arlene Lee (nicknamed “Deedo” by her first grandchild) went home to be with the Lord on February 5th 2023 while in Williston, Florida. June spent her childhood years on a farm in New Lexington, Ohio until she moved with her family to Detroit, Michigan. It was there that she met and married the love of her life, Leslie Robert Lee. They were married for nearly 55 years until Leslie’s death in 2001. They lived in Ohio and in Florida for most of their adult lives. They had 2 children, Glory Jean and Steven Leslie.
June spent her time raising her family on their farm, tending to animals, gardening, and canning. She loved to travel, read, work crossword puzzles, play euchre and Scrabble, and listen to Southern Gospel and Bluegrass music. She loved the Lord, her family, and her pets. June especially loved her miniature dachshunds. June was employed by the Perry County Home in New Lexington, Ohio for 10 years and at Happy Acres Assisted Living in Kissimmee, Florida for almost 10 years.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Luana Huddleston; 2 brothers, Gary and Larry Huddleston; her husband Leslie Robert Lee; her sons-in law, William Bonzar and Richard Ingram; and her grandson, Kelly Bonzar.
Surviving June are her brothers, Fred “Bill” Huddleston of Columbus Ohio, and Glenn Huddleston of Madison, Wisconsin; children, Glory Ingram of Bronson, Florida, Steven (Belinda) Lee of New Lexington, Ohio; grandchildren, Leah Bonzar, Kristin Reid (Ian), and Mark Lee, great granddaughter, Kayli (Brent) Davis: and great great grandchildren, Addison and Warren Davis.
Graveside services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Wednesday February 15th 2023 at 11:30 am. Officiating will be Pastor Bob Hope. Arrangements are being provided by Watson Milton Funeral Home in Trenton, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of June may be made to your local chapter of Veterans of Foreign Wars or to your favorite charity.
