John Thomas Beck

John Thomas "J.T." Beck, a lifelong resident of Trenton, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Ayers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Trenton. He was 95 years old. He was born in Trenton on August 29, 1923 to Joshua and Sarah Beck. He retired as a plumber and pipe fitter. He proudly served his country in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of Wayfair Primitive Baptist Church and the United Association of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 234 of Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Beck is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 75 years, Dorothy Beck whom passed away on August 20, 2018; his son, Wesley Beck; his grandson, Tony Allen; his brothers, J.L. and Eugene and his sisters, Irene, Eunice and Martha Jane. He is survived by his daughters, Thelma (Lawrence) Allen of Chiefland and Carlene (Oliver) Munn of Ocala; his son, Chesley "Bubba" (Alene) Beck of Trenton; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral Services for Mr. Beck will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in the chapel at Watson Funeral Home with Brother Jimmy Thornton, Brother Albert Altman and Brother C. Ralph Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
