Jeffrey Kurt Reed

On April 1, 2022, Mr Jeffrey Kurt Reed, age 58, of Trenton, passed away while at home. Jeff was born on January 10, 1964, in Jamestown, NY, to Norvell Reed, Jr. and Mary Ann Bessel. After growing up in NY, Jeff moved to Florida in 1982 to work in the dairy industry. For over 30 years, he worked as a crop consultant for numerous dairies across the southeast. In 1989, he opened Bell Auto Parts and overtime, it became a landmark in the town of Bell. Those that knew him well, knew he loved finding a good deal and collecting things. He lived life to the fullest and you could find him cracking jokes, giving advise, some unwarranted, and having fun with family and friends. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and was a member of the NRA, NWTF, and Ducks Unlimited. 

Jeff is survived by his children, Janie (Kelby) Sanchez of Old Town, Jeffrey (Emerald) Reed Trenton, and Jessilynne Reed of Branford; his grandchildren, Kelly Claire and Kason Sanchez and a granddaughter on the way; his parents, Norvell (Sandy) Reed of Trenton and Mary Ann Klaiber of Brooksville, FL; his siblings, Joel (Sheila) Reed of Trenton, Todd Reed of Johnstown, NY, Julie Reed of Bradenton, and Tyler (Cody) Latham of Trenton; his fiancè, Dawn Eaton of Trenton; and a host of extended family also survive. 

A funeral to honor Jeff’s life will be held on Thursday, April 7, at 11:00 am at the Pine Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 9:00 am at the church. A private interment at Jennings Lake Cemetery will immediately follow the funeral service.
