Janice Sheffield

Janice H. Sheffield, age 77, of High Springs, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.  Janice was born on January 3, 1946, in High Springs to the late Willard and Edna Hines. Janice was a lifelong resident and business owner of Sheffield’s Hardware and Priest Theatre in High Springs. She was an avid gardener, loved her family, and was a member of Archer Church of Christ.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Nolan Smith, Sr., and brothers, James Walter Hines and Eddie Jerry Hines. She is survived by her husband Bobby Ray Sheffield; sons, Michael (Stacey) Sheffield and Chester (Melissa) Sheffield; a daughter Janet (Alan) Alligood; grandchildren: Amaris (Todd), Justin (Brittany), Dalton (Jamie), Lane (Savannah), Tristan (Lia), and Jaxson (Hailey); great-grandchildren: Jordyn, Kinsley, Rhett, Finnley, Teagan, Conner, Carsen, and Ellery; sisters, Carolyn “Elaine” Goodwin and Cindy Hines; stepsiblings: Nolan Smith, Jr., Keith Smith, Lorraine Guynn, Evelyn Hines, and Cathy Cason.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery at 14105 NW 298^th St, High Springs, Florida with Minister Don Holt officiating.  Following the graveside service, the family will receive extended family and friends for fellowship. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home. 352.463.8888 WatsonMilton.com
