Hansrudi "Hans" Kappeler

Hans Kappeler, age 86, passed away June 21, 2022 in Dixie County, Florida. Hans was born in Bern, Switzerland on September 15, 1935. He was raised in Ostermundingen, Switzerland through early adulthood.

In 1957 he married Helga Irene Schneiter from Switzerland and moved away from Europe to Toronto, Canada. After becoming US citizens, he and Helga moved their family to various locations in the United States, including Southern California, Las Vegas, Nevada, and finally to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 1985.

Hans worked as a self-employed cabinet maker. He retired in Rogersville, Tennessee in 2016. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Helga Kappeler, (Helga Schneiter, 1936-2019) and his second daughter, Ramona King (Ramona Kappeler, 1963 - 1989).

Hans is survived by his daughter, Franziska Stoddard, granddaughter, Natascha Benevides, two great-grandchildren, Analise, and Tatiana Benevides and granddaughter Nicole King (daughter of Ramona King).

Hans has been memorialized by cremation under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton.
