Frances Jones

Frances Jones, beloved mother, and grandmother, age 92, passed away on April 16, 2025, in Windermere, Florida. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida December 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Ben and Lessie Keefe. At an early age, Frances professed her faith in Jesus Christ and served her Lord in many churches including those in Tampa, College Park, Windermere, and Freeport Bahamas.

She married her sweetheart, Doyle C Jones in June 1954. Together they lived a life of hard work and dedication. Doyle preceded her in death in 1997.

Frances retired from Disney in 1994, which gave way to her love of quilting. From lap quilts to king size, she could create a work of art from scraps. She made a countless number of quilts of every color from her extensive collection of fabric. Quilting wasn't her only gift, she could play a sassy tune on the piano, host a women's luncheon for the church, have a pool full of kids on any summer afternoon, and she always had her Silver Pass ready to get friends and family into any of the Disney Parks.

Frances is preceded in death by the love of her life, Doyle C. Jones and many brother and sister in laws. 

Frances is survived by her sons, Doug (Lori) Jones and Dayne (Lisa) Jones; daughter, Renee Cingolani (Andy); grandsons, Steele Jones, Micah Patterson, Parker Jones and Sam Patterson; and her niece Joy Carson. 

A graveside service to honor Frances will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd at 1:30 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home. www.watsonmilton.com (352)463-8888
