Florence W. Simpson, age 94, passed away on August 18th while at home in Trenton, FL. She was born on November 17, 1927, in Old Town, FL to William & Pearl Quiette. Known to her family as NanNan, Mrs. Florence’s life was full of love and laughter that spending time with her family provided. She would spend time working for the Division of Forestry, Georgia Pacific, and then as a homemaker. She was quite the seamstress and loved to spend time gardening. Most of all she was known for her faith in and love for her Lord Jesus Christ. Mrs. Florence was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church in Old Town and loved to talk to others about the Bible.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cedell Simpson, her parents, William and Pearl Quiette, a brother, James Quiette, and 5 sisters Joyce McCullough Watson, Sue Hacker, Julie Jones, Mary Edna Spears, and Geneva Neely
Florence is survived by her children, Charlie (Glenda) Simpson of Bell, Mary Dunn of Trenton; 3 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister Mable Loche.
The family will gather for a graveside service on Saturday, September 3rd at 10:00 am at the Old Town Memorial Cemetery in Old Town, FL. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton, Trenton. 352-463-8888. www.WatsonMilton.com
