Ellis Calvin Lindsey, Sr., of Ft. White, Florida passed away unexpectedly, Steinhatchee, at the age of 68. Ellis was born to Calvin Newt & Mattie Lou (Jarvis) Lindsey in Ft. White on July 22, 1953. In 1971, he married the love of his
life Leila (Brown) Lindsey. They moved back to Ft. White in 1978 where they raised their three children along with a few others
that called them Mom & Dad.
Ellis spent many years as a jack of all trades, a mechanic and a Square Dance Caller. Refereed Professional Wrestling. Had a Passion for
riding horses. More than anything dancing the night away with his family. He was a member and former President of the Florida Caller's Association,
and Active Member of the Red Cross, C.E.R.T. ( Certified Equine Rescue Team) with his wife, and a member of the United Methodist Church
of Ft. White, Florida.
Ellis loved his family very much and never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his brother Virgil Lindsey and his three sisters Myrtle Bundy, Margret Brock, and Minnie Rizer.
Ellis Lindsey is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leila Lindsey, his son Ellis (Kristy) Lindsey II, his daughters Danielle Lindsey and Brittany (Justin) Seabrook;
His brothers Edward (Dot) Lindsey, James (Helen) Lindsey, and Levis (Rose) Lindsey. 11 Grandchildren. Serval children that he had a hand in raising
and a host of extended family. He will be truly missed.
