It is with great sadness the family of Dennis James Powell announce the unexpected passing on Thursday evening July 21, 2022, at the age of 63. Dennis was at home with the love of his family surrounding him.
Dennis was born in Canton, Ohio in 1958. He was the fifth child of 11 siblings: Sharon, John, Debbie, (Dennis) Becky, Linda, Twila, Frankie, Rocky, Connie, Patty and Joe.
Growing up in a large family working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, and boats, he grew his passion for shop mechanics while attending Sandy Valley High school in Ohio. With a true love of everything automotive, he became a mechanical genius, Dennis ran an operated an Automotive Repair and Restoration Business in Bradenton, Florida for over 35 years.
He was a man tough as nails, but to his family he was the most loving of men. Besides his love of Fords and Harley-Davidsons, he had many passions including, antique collecting, gardening, cooking, helping those in need, but most of all spoiling his dogs Harley and Bugz and spending time with all his family.
He is succeeded and will be greatly missed by his wife Michelle; daughter Brooke Powell, son Jim Powell; step-daughter Tiffany Cacchiotti (Aj) step-son Jonathon Wilson (Carly); his 12 grandchildren, Jace, Jada, Layla, Lilly, Kylie, Sebastian, Jaden, Josie, Jamasen, Leland, Monroe, and Mila. As well as sisters, brother, nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members and friends.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, John Denver and Betty Jean Powell; siblings, John, Debbie, and Rocky.
