Delores "Dee" Mae Guthrie

Delores “Dee” Mae Guthrie, age 78, of Trenton, FL, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 24, 1944, in Freeland Michigan to the late Edward and Geneva Hudson.

Delores loved being surrounded by her family, spending time with her grandchildren, cracking jokes, watching animal planet, and all her fur babies. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Delores took care of everyone even if that meant her going without. If everyone else was happy she was happy. Delores was a Godly women that loved her church and all her church family. She never went a day without making someone smile, but it was always her smile that brightened the room.

Delores is survived by her children, Vern, Phillip, Sherry, Julie, and Lisa; her grandchildren, Brenda Lee, Christine, Kaula, Asa, Phillip the 3rd, Britney, Jennifer, Jay, Tim (Kristy) Wheeler, Brian, Kathlene, Crystal and Steven; her great grandchildren, Caitlin (Todd) Smith, Matthew, Brian Jr., Natalie, Lexi, Alexander, Olivia, Ethan, Joshua the 2nd, Joseph, Brooklyn, Serenity, Noah, Henry, Lily, Allie, Christopher, Angel, Cheveyo, Jackson, Sabrina, Joshua and Brandon; her great-great grandchildren, Emberli Claire and the unborn baby girl of Brian Jr.; extended family members, Connie Palmateer, Brenda Cucuzza and many more.

The family will accept donations of flowers for Delores’s service.

A funeral to honor Delores’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 12, at 11:00 am at Watson-Milton Funeral Home in Trenton, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Gainesville, FL. following the service.
