David Levon Moore was born on May 18, 1954 to parents Henry Levon Moore and Edna Alma Moore (Durden). He was the oldest of 3 boys and died on December 11, 2024, in Hospice after fighting his battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Bell High School in 1972. He later went through an apprenticeship as a Boilermaker and was a member of LOCAL 199. He was extremely proud of his work and traveled all around the country with his fellow Boilermaker’s. At work David’s nickname was “BIG HEAD” and he was referred as “the Heavy hitter from Florida”. He retired in 2001 to the family farm.
David was married to Anita Wooten Moore for 26 years. He is survived by his brother Kenneth Moore and wife Cindy Moore. Daughter Jennifer McConnell, husband Brian McConnell and grandchildren Lindsey and Brandon McConnell. Son Joshua Moore and grandsons David and Tyler Moore. Son Jesse Moore, wife Aleasha Moore and grandchildren Hunter, Leslie, and Logan Moore. Daughter Meghan Wooten, Daughter Stephanie Wooten and granddaughter Abbigail Gregory.
David enjoyed deer hunting and dove shoots, watching westerns (especially Daniel Boone and Gunsmoke), listening to gospel and bluegrass music, and was dedicated to God, Country, and the right to bear arms. David would give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it. He attended Eagle’s Point Fellowship in Chiefland and in the end his strong faith gave him peace with death. He has made heaven his final home.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Edna Moore and brother Henry Leslie Moore.
