Cathryn "Cathy" D. Browning

Mrs. Cathryn D. Browning (Cathy) , 60, of Trenton, passed away on October 8, 2021, at the Tri-County Hospice in Chiefland. Cathryn was born on January 11, 1961, in Ocala to George Lea and Ruth Yearty. She grew up in Ocala then moved to the Tri County area. The last 25 years, she’s lived in Gilchrist County. She worked in banking for several years until an injury left her disabled. Cathryn has always had a passion to feed children and for the last 10 years, she served as one of the directors at the Food Pantry in Trenton. She also served with the Salvation Army but her greatest love were her grandbabies. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Larry and Carolyn Lea.

Cathryn is survived by her husband of 23 years, Harry Glenn Browning of Trenton; her son, TJ (Kerri) Bell of Old Town; her daughter, Ruby Browning of Trenton; grandchildren, Liam and Quinton Bell of Old Town; sisters, Diane (Billy) Newhouse of Ocala and Charlene (Mike) Barber of Fernandina Beach and Karen ( Jeremy) Penland ; a host of extended family also survive.
A Celebration of Cathryn’s Life will be held on Saturday, October 16, at 11:00 am at Priscilla Baptist Church in Bell. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00 am at the church.
