Cassandra Rachelle Cason

Cassandra Rachelle Cason, 34, of Old Town, passed away on August 31, 2021. She is survived by her only child, Lani Lee; her parents, Alan and Michelle Cason; her sister, Catie (Lee) Carlisle; nephew and niece, Hunter and Fynlee; grandparents, Mytrle Lee, Orlando and Sandra Cason; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cassandra was preceded in death by her “Papa”, Louise Lee; her “Big Granny”, Opal Cason; great-grandparents, “Big Granny” Geneva Martin and “Ma and Pa”, William and Nora Strickland.

Cassandra’s family and friends knew her as “Tootie”, a nickname given to her by her mom as a child. She had a passion for the ocean, mermaids, collecting shells, riding the river, and a love for music. She also enjoyed riding the atv’s and was an incredibly talented writer leaving notes and inspirational quotes with everyone she loved. Her greatest and truest love of all was her daughter, Lani Lee, who she shared the most precious bond with. Cassandra’s legacy will live on through her beautiful daughter and within the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and remembered dearly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 17, at 2:00 at the Wayfair Cemetery in Bell, FL with Bro. Jimmy Fletcher officiating services. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Watson-Milton Funeral Home. 352-463-8888. www.WatsonMilton.com
