Barbara Kirkland

Barbara Kirkland, wife and loving mother, passed away on December 10, 2024, in Gainesville, Florida, at the age of 43. Born on October 27, 1981, in Manassas, Virginia, Barbara's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to helping others and her profound love for her family.

As a teacher at Trenton Elementary School, Barbara made a lasting impact. She was known for her compassion and always striving to make a difference in the lives of those she encountered.

Barbara's most cherished role, however, was that of a mother. She took immense joy in raising her children, Cody, Dylan, Tate, and Bailey. Her love for them was evident in all she did, nurturing their passions and supporting them through every endeavor.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Kirkland, who stood by her side through the ups and downs of life since 1999. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will carry on through her children, Cody Kirkland, Dylan Kirkland, Tate Kirkland and Bailey Kirkland. She is also survived by her mother, Linda Tatroe and her sisters, Stacy Lewis, Erica Bostic, and Stephanie Menowsky. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Bostic, her brother Dougie Bostic, and her sister Angie Bostic.

Barbara had a zest for life and enjoyed every moment spent at the beach and in the mountains. Holidays were especially dear to her heart, as they were spent creating cherished memories with her family. Her spirit of love and caring will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Barbara will be held on Thursday, December 19th at Watson-Milton Funeral Home, Trenton at 11:00 AM.
